Hill's 2011 Second Chance For Love Competion Terms And Conditions

By submitting an entry into the Hill’s 2011 Second Chance for Love Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules.

1. The Competition
The Hill's 2011 Second Chance for Love Competition (the "Competition") is a competition sponsored by Hill’s Pet Nutrition (NZ) Limited ("Hill’s").  In the Competition, both consumers entering the Competition and their favourite Royal New Zealand Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (“SPCA”) animal shelters in New Zealand (hereafter "Shelters") have a chance to win prizes.  The Competition begins 12:00 a.m. NZT on 7th February 2011 and ends midnight NZT on 31st March 2011 ("Competition Period").

In the Competition, consumers will be asked to submit online entries consisting of an essay and photo which describe how they and their pets gave each other a second chance for love, and also to name their favourite SPCA Shelter.  Not only do consumers have a chance to win prizes in the Competition, but also each time a consumer submits an entry, the consumer gives their favourite SPCA Shelter a chance to win a $1,000 cash donation.

2. Eligibility
In order to be eligible to submit entries in this Competition, consumers must be legal residents of New Zealand, must be 18 years of age or older, and must have adopted a cat or dog from a New Zealand SPCA animal shelter at some point in their lives.  Employees of Hill’s, its parent, and their respective related companies, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies involved in the Competition, as well as the immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each employee, are not eligible to submit entries in the Competition.

The prizes are as follows:
The two (2) Grand Prize winners will each receive:

The SPCA Shelter with the most votes will receive:
• A $1,000 cash donation from Hill’s.

If the number of votes for the leading SPCA Shelters is equal, the $1,000 cash donation will be divided equally between each of the Shelters with the equal highest votes.

Prizes awarded through the Competition are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided at Hill’s sole discretion, who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.    Winners are solely responsible for taxes, including income taxes, and fees associated with receipt and use of prizes.

Hill’s will try to notify the winners by phone or email.  If a prize winner cannot be contacted by 30 June 2011, the winner’s claim to the relevant prize will lapse and the prize will become the property of Hill’s.
