Poppy

Poppy My name is Katie and I am nine. Poppy is a female ginger tabby cat. We adopted her on Anzac day and that is why we called her Poppy. At the SPCA her name was Biscuits so now her full name is Poppy Anzac Biscuits. Poppy is one of those cats that loves sleeping. Although she likes the great outdoors, she is cuddly and sometimes I call her a teddy bear. I like it how she is so cuddly and very cute! She is fully grown but occasionally thinks she is still a kitten. read more...

Henry

Henry My family had been talking about getting a kitten for ages, and now we were finally settled in our new house, we went for a trip to the Auckland SPCA. Henry has amassed so many nicknames, ...read more...

Winnie

Winnie We always felt we wanted two cats and already had a moggy that we found as a stray. We went to the SPCA after a cat not a kitten as they are less work and deserve an extra special chance. We looked and there behind the radiator heater was the cutest wee teenage tabby and white ...we fell in love and took her home! She is the best cat ever. She never ventures ...read more...

After squeezing our way between people and cages for a while, none had jumped out and said 'I'm the cat for you'. Just before we left, we spotted Isaac, a six month old black and white boy in a corner. It was love at first sight! His fosterer sa ...read more...

Amy and the late Bella

Amy and the late Bella We have been lucky enough to have gotten three dogs off the Whangarei SPCA. Amy came first. We got her after we purchased our first house. She was 5 months old after having been dumped, then resued by Whangarei staff. She is much loved but a bit needy, so we got Bella from Whangarei SPCA as a companion for Amy. Bella had a baaad accident and Whangarei SPCA came to get her and take her to vets, because I couldn't lift her by myself and she was hurt badly. Everything was done to save her by the ...read more...
