Days after losing our recently adopted cat "Fatso" to diabetes, the loss was unbearable. We searched on the internet for an inexpensive Fatso look-alike (Fatso's vet costs were huge). We preferred a non-aggressive model as our other cat, Floss, is a wimp. One cat suited: Ollie. Place: Waihi SPCA (only 706km away). When me and my family got to the SPCA cat section.....my heart was pounding and in my head a voice was saying "which one? Which one?" I had to choose. But my head was spinning really fast. Sophie
How lucky were my Doberman Q and myself on the beach last month to come across a beautiful lady volunteer from the SPCA with a friendly mob of dogs.
Q took to Sophie right away and it seemed like fate as I had been thinking about getting another dog for a few months.
We were processed very quickly by the SPCA and Sophie has been with us for two weeks. Sophie & Q adore one and other. Sophie is a very sweet natured girl and a real water dog. I'm thinking of getting her her own paddling pool heheread more...

We were unsure how we would know which kittens to choose when we decided to adopt from the SPCA. But we need not have worried THEY chose you! Terry climbed Roy's leg and started smooching him, love at first sight. Terry settled very quickly and was eating and playing. She is perfect at using the litter tray; we are so impressed. When adopting Krunch from Wellington SPCA we felt he had chosen us. He was the first kitten we met and we knew it was love at first sight. Within an hour of meeting Krunch he was coming home. Since then we have discovered many qualities and interests Krunch has. He's a tree climber - not just any tree but the big forest trees right next door to our house.
