Adopt-a-thon

It was wonderful to see so many cats and dogs find their second chance for love over the past three Valentine's weekends during the Hill's SPCA's 'Second Chance for Love' Adoptathons.

Thousands of you visited the participating SPCAs around the country, and for many, it was love at first sight.

We are so delighted with the result!

Valentine's weekend was chosen for the event because, ultimately, successful adoptions are based on love. Cats and dogs fill our homes and our lives with warmth and affection. And, of course, however much we love them, they will love us back even more.

Plus, when voting re-opens for 2012 if you'd like to vote for your favourite SPCA centre, you can do so here. The winning centre will receive a $1000 donation from Hill's.

$1000 was won by Nelson SPCA in 2011, Wellington won $1000 in both 2010 and 2009.
